This piece reflects the idea that the feeling of being home comes from the people in your life rather than a particular place, and that the people we meet and relationships we form are what brings colour and joy to our lives. This piece should have a sense of warmth and comfort throughout, like the feeling you get from coming home after a long day, or from spending time with the people you care about. It should be played lyrically and with emotion.

I wrote this piece for my friends and family, who I will always appreciate and be grateful for. The premiere performance was dedicated to my grandparents Carol and Steve.​
