About Me

Zoe Gougousidis (b. 2001) is a composer and performer based in Sydney, Australia. She has had pieces performed across Australia and internationally, and has been selected in numerous composition competitions.

In 2023, Zoe graduated from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music with a BMus majoring in Composition. In her time at the Conservatorium, she was selected for the SCM Symphony Orchestra Reading Session Competition and the SCM Wind Symphony Reading Session Competition. In 2023, Zoe additionally composed a work for a Sydney Conservatorium Brass Septet, which was premiered and toured in China.

In 2021, Zoe was a finalist in the Australian Women's Wind Band Composition Award, which resulted in her work being recorded by the Queensland Wind Orchestra. The same year, Zoe was also selected for the Artology Fanfare Composition Award, having her piece recorded by the Sydney Youth Orchestra. She additionally was awarded a highly commended in 2018.

Zoe is also a euphonium and trombone player and performs regularly with numerous community bands across Sydney. She particularly performs with brass bands, wind bands and big bands.
