Diamante

Diamante was composed in 2020.

It is a modal piece in the Klezmer style, written for clarinet trio. It is inspired by snakes - specifically my pet diamond python Monty (hence the name, Dia-Monty). This piece aims to reflect this serpentine theme in each movement: Winding, The Strike and Unhinged.
