Ouroboros was composed between late 2023 and 2024. It was selected for the SCM Wind Band Reading Competition in 2023. It was premiered at the Australian National Eisteddfod by the Canberra City Band.

This work is inspired by the ouroboros - an ancient symbol depicting a snake or dragon eating its own tail, which represents everlasting cycles. The main cycle it is associated with is the cycle of life and death.
There are four main sections in this piece, with each reflecting a stage of this cycle - I. Beginning, II. Growth, III. Decay, IV. Renewal.
