Picture a vast darkened sky, littered with stars and planets. From down here on Earth, they appear to be little white pinpricks that shimmer and glow brightly, surrounded by hues of black, blue and purple. The sky appears endless, a sea of stars that inspires wonder.

This piece aims to reflect the mystery and vastness of the universe, capturing the sense of awe and otherworldliness that comes when looking at the sheer scale of the night sky.

The piece begins with a sense of sentimentality and wonder, before becoming more whimsical and off-kilter as the piece continues. Between these sections, there are calmer and more reflective moments, which also returns to finish the work in a soft and sweet way.
