Fight or Flight

Fight or Flight was composed in 2020 for Piccolo Trumpet, Trumpet in C, Tenor Trombone and Bass Trombone.

Fight or Flight is all about opposing forces, which is reflected in the elements of the work - 
contrasting slow and fast tempos, high and low pitch, loud and soft dynamics, and in style. 
The instrumentation also reflects this, with the piccolo trumpet down to bass trombone allowing for a wide pitch range, as well as the tone colour variety of these instruments - brash and brassy to mellow and soft.
